Breast Cancer Awareness

Well, in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, I am going to do a whole post dedicated to it (and pink beauty products). I was going to do a post where I show which products give back to Breast Cancer charities, but I recently did a Beauty That Gives Back post that is really cool. Check that out if you want to try giving back to charities while looking fabulous.

According to the American Cancer Society, in 2013, it was estimated that 232,340 new cases of breast cancer were expected to be diagnosed. Also in that year, 39,620 US women are expected to die from breast cancer. Only lung cancer causes more cancer deaths. The average mortality rate is about 25%. The death rates in the some Midwest States (Illinois, Missouri, and Indiana) are 23-26.2%.

That is a lot to process. I’ll let that sink in for a little.

Now that you know some of the stats, you are probably wondering how you can help. Well, you can donate to different Breast Cancer charities, do walks like the Susan G. Komen Walk (which I totally recommend… My cousin did and said that she loved it and the cause), or just support someone that is dealing with this awful cancer.

While you help out this cause, feel free to wear as much pink makeup as possible:

Now that you know about Breast Cancer, you can buy some pink makeup and show your support:

NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Bouhtan ($35)

Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry Pop ($21)

Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipstick in Melted Marshmallow ($21)

Smashbox BCA Be Legendary Lipgloss ($20): This one is specifically for Breast Cancer Awareness and gives some of its proceeds to charity.

H&M Blusher ($4.79)

Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush ($30)

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Shadow in Flamingo ($21)

Make Up Store Microshadow in Hero ($27)

Coach POPPY Wildflower perfume ($65)

Bobbi Brown Pink Ribbon Lip Gloss Collection ($60): This is another Breast Cancer Awareness product that helps out some charities.

LA Colors Nail Polish in Party Pink ($3.90)

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Floral & Flirty Blush ($4.81)

OPI Nail Polish in I Think In Pink ($18)

L’Oreal Miss Manga Volumizing Mascara ($7.99)

And those are all of the cool pink beauty products. I hope you help out the Breast Cancer cause by donating or just supporting those going through it. With your help and support, we can combat breast cancer and cancer in general.

Have any post suggestions? Have any questions, concerns, stories, or good jokes? Put all of those in the comment box down below. I would love to hear from you!

Have a fantastic day! #StayBeautiful
