Get the Look: Jennifer Lawrence

Well, since Jennifer Lawrence’s birthday was last Friday (August 15th), I decided to do a Get the Look post dedicated to her amazing makeup look (because she is just so stunning). You may know J Law from the Hunger Games trilogy, Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, and the X-Men movies. She basically does it all– and she still has time to go bold with her makeup.

That’s the awesome thing about Jennifer. Her makeup is always on point and she is such a casual and fun person. Sure, she may have fallen down at an award show (twice), but she laughed it off (like a champ).

It took a lot of time to find my favorite beauty look. There are so many different beauty looks that she pulled off (and looked amazing) and it took a while to narrow it down to this amazing look. In case you were wondering which movie premiere this was from, it is from the Hunger Games Catching Fire premiere in Paris.

Let’s get started!

Get the Look: Jennifer Lawrence

I mostly chose this look because of the deep maroon lips. It is bold and daring and I absolutely love it. So, let’s get into the look:

  1. Highlighter: Obviously I have no idea if Jennifer is wearing highlighter (for sure), but she does have this amazing glow to her that I really only think a good highlighter could give. There are two amazing highlighters that I mentioned: The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer ($24) and the E.L.F. Baked Highlighter ($3). They are both golden highlighters that look stunning and give you an amazing glow. When highlighting, place the highlighter on the tops of your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose, the forehead, and your chin.
  2. Eyes: There are two ways to get the smoky eye look that Jennifer displays in this makeup look. You can either just apply the Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil ($20) and smudge it out to give a smoked out effect. You could also use the H&M Smoky Eyeshadow Palette ($6.66) to create the smoky eye and then apply an eyeliner. Both are great options and you can do whichever option seems the easiest or best way to get a signature smoky eye.
  3. Lips: This is my favorite part. I love mixing and matching different lip products together to make a unique color that you can’t get in just one lip product. Finding color combinations for this deep maroon lip look was difficult. I tried layering different lipsticks and glosses and products until I found the right combination (or close enough). One single lipstick that I think is a great maroon color is the Rimmel Kate matte Lipstick ($9.16). If you love higher end lipsticks, then the Smashbox Be Legendary Lipsticks ($20) in Mocha and Infrared Matte layered together make this beautiful deep maroon color. I love this color combo– it looks stunning on so many people.

So, that’s all. Now you can be Jennifer Lawrence whenever you feel like it. I hope you give this makeup look a try and send me a tweet (or email or whatever). Also feel free to comment down below what posts you would like to see on my blog.

Have a fantastic day! #StayBeautiful
